Wrap Up

“Our terrific speakers and enthusiastic participants were the keys to this conference’s tremendous success,” say conference organizers from the Duke Institute on Care at the End of Life, the Presbyterian Church Office of Theology and Worship, and Office of National Health Ministries. Final counts show that 250 pastors, parish nurses, congregants, health care professionals and others from across the country came together to explore how to improve end-of-life care in their congregations and communities. The evaluations indicate that the conference “strongly” met all needs. One participant enthusiastically noted, “sessions were instructional and moving [and] caused personal reflection that will enrich my life, spiritual practice and service.”
