The Duke Institute on Care at the End of Life (ICEOL) announces a partnership with The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast and The Hospice Institute of the Florida Suncoast. A common mission, to educate people about the intersection of spirituality and health care at the end of life, forms the nucleus of the alliance.
Leaders from both organizations met recently to discuss collaborating on educational opportunities, fellowships and co-marketing of materials for end-of-life care. The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast and The Hospice Institute of the Florida Suncoast will market the ICEOL publication: Jewish Ritual, Reality and Response at the End of Life: A guide to Caring for Jewish Patients and Families. The guide is featured in The Hospice Institute’s new catalogue.
“We are excited by this alliance and the prospects for a rich and lasting collaboration with our south Florida partners.” say Dr. Richard Payne, Director, Institute on Care at the End of Life. The marketing of the guide on Jewish end-of-life care is the first step in the collaboration.
