ICEOL Director Richard Payne Participates in Nationally Broadcast Conversation on Cancer Survivors and End-of-Life Care

“Take One Step: A Conversation about Cancer” aired nationally on PBS on April 16. The program, hosted by well known broadcast journalist Linda Ellerbee, involves a panel of doctors – who also are cancer survivors – discussing their personal stories as well as a variety of issues related to cancer and the end of life.

Topics they cover include the stigma of cancer, how doctors should give a cancer diagnosis, how patients can be active participants in their treatments, and the role of spirituality in responding to cancer.
