ICEOL Director Receives Benevolent Advocate of Healthcare Award

On June 15, 2007, Old North State Medical Society (ONSMS), the nation’s oldest association of black physicians, presented Richard Payne, M.D., ICEOL Director, with their Benevolent Advocate of Healthcare Award. Payne received this honor for his dedication to improving end-of-life and palliative care. The award was made at ONSMS’S 120th Annual Convention & Scientific Assembly, "Enhancing Knowledge and Control to Prevent and Remove Pitfalls in Medical Practices."
