A ONE-DAY CONFERENCE ON CARING FOR JEWISH PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES

Judaism’s rich traditions provide a vision for compassionate care throughout the continuum of illness. Yet many of us know little about the rituals and customs that support Jewish people as they face illness, death and grieving. With more exposure to these practices, professional, lay and family caregivers will be better equipped to support Jewish patients and families at this critical time of life.

The Institute on Care at the End of Life’s Conference — Magnified and Sanctified: Jewish Ritual, Reality and Response at the End of Life — offers an in-depth exploration of Judaism’s approach to life’s end. The conference is structured to provide insights and information, encourage dialogue, and touch the senses. Participants will leave better prepared to provide end-of life care in a way that honors and respects Jewish traditions.
